THE FAMILY HOUR
The Family airs on Friday evening from 6-7 PM PST. Her Morning Show airs from 7 - 9 AM on Thursday mornings.
Following are the programs scheduled:
May 9th: Reading Meeting the Behaviors of Children with Johanna Kreilein, MA, CMT, Educational Consultant and Child Development Practitioner, has taught all grade levels (including preschool) in public and Walkdorf Schools. In addition to over 20 years of teaching experience she has extensive training in Child Development. She studied with the HANDLE Institute International, Brain Gym and the Masgutova Method of Reflex Integration.
May 16th: Monica Savon with COTS Homeless Organization. Monica will share her story of becoming involved with the homeless and success stories she's personally witnessed through COTS.
May 23: Sandy Koshari will share the story about her parents who lived in their 90's . Her father came down with mental dementia his last few years, which changed all of their lives forever. This is a touching story of hope,
sorrow, resiliency and LOVE.
May 30: Jeffrey 'Whitebear' will present stories and music for children from ages 4 - 12. Jeffrey travels around Sonoma County sharing his joy of nature with children of all ages.
June 6: Dave Pelzer, International Best Selling Author, who nearly died by the hands of his mentally disturbed mother returns to a favorite place of his childhood, Guerneville and will be on the Family Hour. Dave was finally rescued and placed in a series of foster homes. His book, "A Child Called IT" is on the Top 10 books read by young adults. Dave will touch on his childhood, however, will focus on addressing the current issues facing society today.
June 13: KC and Matt Greaney will share their parenting insights. Matt, a step-father to KC's two children, will share the process of how he handled becoming a step-father almost overnight. He has an amazing connection to both children and will share how that has come to be.
June 20: Liz Baltes, coach in training with Fearless Living will talk about coaching and empowering the individuals she works with in classes and coaching sessions Liz has a gift for supporting individuals in many changes in their life, allowing them to make their dreams come true.
June 27: Eloise Tweeten, of Tweeten Eldercare Advisors, is my guest tonight, discussing how a family searches for the 'right' care facility for loved ones. She supports families as they go through the searching process. From personal experience she's learned what it takes to make the process a success!
July 4: Tonight's program will be pre-recorded due to the holiday and yet it is a program you will not want to miss. Naomi Bosch returns to KGGV, now as a High School Student. She'll talk about patriotism and life as a HS student...always bringing to the subject at hand, her amazing wisdom!
July 17: Jessica Wolfe, director of the Russian River Empowerment Center, returns to The Family Hour tonight. She'll share the successes the Center has had since it's opening in 2007 and inform us of the new programs which are now in place at the center.
July 25: Anna Guiffre, Project Director for the Alzheimer's Association is in the studio with Sharon tonight. Anna will share her personal story of how she was introduced to the world of those with Alzheimer's through her grandparents. She'll also talk about the Memory Walk, held on October 18th, as a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Foundation.
August 1: The subject is Health. Sharon will share many tips on how to stay healthy from various viewpoints, including: John Robbins, author of "Healthy at 100"; Andrew Weil and Norman Shealy.
August 8: Dee Yoh, Senior US facilitator of the Family Constellations Workshop, the work of Burt Hellinger, will be my guest this evening talking about Organizational Constellations. The 'laws' that govern businesses and careers are similar to the 'laws' which govern families. When the underlying 'laws' are followed, harmony and peace is the result.
August 15: Tonight, is Sharon's Two Year Anniversary special! The guest line up is impressive: Karen Melton, works to heal and prevent Prenatal and Birth Trauma for babies, kidz, adults and couples. Rio Olesky, astrologer, will tell what astrology has to offer to parents and teachers about children. And Peter Andrews, father, step-father and former Program Director of KGGV, will discuss the importance of 'parenting' even as children grow into young adults and the parenting of our parents.
During the second hour, Aly Holmes, graduate of Ursuline High School will be Sharon's Guest. Aly and Sharon met when Aly was holding a fundraiser for her senior project at Ursuline High School. Her project, Kids on a Roll, raised sufficient money to send 36 wheelchairs to Tanzanian. In addition this hour will bring music and stories to young children from 4-11 years of age.
August 22: Chris Bird is on the Family Hour tonight. Chris, the product of a very musical family was encouraged in all forms of creative expression. Today, he creates beautiful musical arrangements on the computer. His CD, Extended Logic, brings together 11 such pieces which lead you from one selection to the next, building a magical musical journey for the listener. Chris will also share in vocal and guitar talent with us tonight.

Radio Broadcasting for Children & Teens
This is a class for children and teens from 10 - 13 years of age who would like to experience the wonderful world of radio! Students will learn how to create a FCC approved Station identification, practice voice clarity, and practice reading stories and poem for broadcasting over the air. The last day of class, students will visit KGGV in Guerneville and create a CD of their station identifications, stories and poems which will be aired on KGGV.
